Healthy Party Snacks March 1, 2014 recipes, USA Healthy Party Snacks I always thought life in the USA was “fun”, and the longer I have been here, the more I am exposed to all the celebrations and parties that are thrown simply to enjoy life! I have never been into celebrity culture, however I am slowly but surely attempting to appreciate the social side of it, and since this weekend I have the pleasure of attending my first oscars party, I thought I aught to write a quick post with some festive snack ideas to help those that are playing host, or wanting to keep their waistline and health in check, whilst still attending these events! I’ve scanned the internet and used a couple of my own images to hopefully inspire some healthy oscar party snacks..enjoy! smoked salmon and caviar wrapped around a spoon in an oscar shape. Love it. Why not make all natural popcorn fresh from the kernels on your stove top and dress them up in gold packaging for the festive oscar spirit! – image courtesy of the college lifestyles website Make small serves of dips with one cracker and dry roasted nuts for those with a savoury tooth! Small serves of dried fruit near flowers that are the same colour look aesthetically pleasing (and give your guests a sweet flavour in their mouth that still provides a boost of Vitamin C! Cocktails can be enjoyed, just don’t add lots of sugar syrup or sugary mixers. I threw in some nuts and whole grain sour dough bread to the cheese and vegetable platters. Getting creative with nuts and dried fruit to keep it interesting for guests!
