* Anti-inflammatory diet – diet for depression

Hi everyone,

Food and mood, a topic so close to my heart that I wrote a whole book about it! It seems to be coming up as an area of interest in the mainstream media more and more prevalently, how an anti-inflammatory diet can be the diet for preventing depression .

How inflammatory pathways can be set off or controlled in response to the foods that we select to consume, and how this has a roll over effect to mood regulation and the prevention of depression, is continuing to be more thoroughly researched and confirmed.

I thought I would share with you today one small excerpt from my book, The Clean Separation, so that you can start to feel like experts on the subject matter…well, at the least, begin feeling like you have a basic understanding of the topic so that all the follow on recommendations I make around incorporating more anti-inflammatory foods, and supporting your gut health, have far more meaning and weight behind them!

I hope this information proves enlightening and useful to you all, and that you feel confident in your understanding on what should be included as part of an anti-inflammatory diet, the diet to help fight depression.

As you can see, the food we select to put in our mouths can have a drastic effect on our mood and inflammatory pathways. If you are interested in this topic, take a look at my book, which provides far more depth and practical recommendations to help put the theory into practice.

There is also mounting evidence that this is all interconnected with our gut health, the micro-biome, and therefore in follow on posts I will continue to share more content with the aim of helping you better understand the topic, and feel confident in your ability to know what you can be eating to boost the strength of your gut.

Until next time,

TD x
